ABOUT DAN

Dan brings over 29 years of banking experience with an emphasis in commercial underwriting, credit risk management and loan review.  He has held positions as Credit Analyst, Commercial Underwriter, Credit Manager and Senior Consultant.

Dan’s banking experience includes several mid-sized community banks in S.E. Wisconsin.  He also has over 11 years of experience as a consultant at a Top 20 accounting firm reviewing loans, providing recommendations, and audit support to financial institutions of all sizes across the United States. 

Dan’s responsibilities in the banking sector included underwriting, structuring and approving commercial loan requests, field audits, appraisal reviews, developing credit presentations and risk rating matrices, monitoring and resolving troubled credits and managing a team of credit analysts. 

 As a Senior Consultant for an accounting firm, Dan was a member of the risk advisory services team for its financial institutions practice, specializing in loan review and credit process.  In this position, he worked with financial institutions to provide customer-focused risk management services.  Dan classified loans using financial institution’s risk rating systems and identified credit risk and trends within the institution’s portfolio.  He providing guidance with various regulatory issues including risk ratings, real estate valuations and accounting guidelines.  He also assisted the audit team with identifying problem loans, calculating impairment and allowances for loan losses.
